MT OM JAIPUR – Multi-Category Vessel Supply at Kandla Anchorage
MT OM JAIPUR
Multi-Category Vessel Supply at Kandla Anchorage
Project Overview
Solanki Ship Care successfully completed a multi-category vessel supply operation for MT OM JAIPUR at Kandla Anchorage, coordinating the preparation, movement and direct transfer of marine supplies to the vessel.
The operation covered several important vessel-supply categories, including Ship Stores, Safety Stores, Marine Paint & Coating Stores, and Technical & Maintenance Supplies.
Unlike a conventional shore-side delivery, the supplies for this operation had to be coordinated for anchorage delivery and crane transfer directly to the vessel. This required careful planning across supply preparation, logistics and vessel-side coordination to ensure that multiple requirements could be delivered as one organized operation.
Supply Scope
The operation covered multiple categories of vessel requirements, consolidated into a single delivery operation:
• Ship Stores
Ship-store requirements supporting the vessel's galley, accommodation and housekeeping operations.
• Safety Stores
Safety and emergency-related supplies required to support safe vessel operations and onboard requirements.
• Marine Coatings
Marine coating and maintenance-related materials supporting the vessel's ongoing preservation and maintenance requirements.
• Technical Supplies
Technical and maintenance-related materials required for the vessel's operational and maintenance needs.
Anchorage Logistics
Supplying a vessel at anchorage requires a different approach from a standard delivery alongside or at a port facility. The vessel remains at anchorage, while the prepared supplies have to be transported to the appropriate transfer location and coordinated for delivery to the vessel.
For MT OM JAIPUR, the supplies were transferred by crane directly to the vessel from the supply vessel.
The Operation Sequence
Supply Preparation → Logistics → Transfer → Crane Handling → Delivery
How We Work
At Solanki Ship Care, our approach to vessel supply is built around coordination from requirement to delivery.
Understand the Requirement
We begin by identifying the vessel's requirements and organizing them according to their respective supply categories.
Source & Prepare
The required materials are sourced and prepared for delivery according to the vessel's requirements.
Consolidate & Coordinate
Multiple categories are organized together for a consolidated delivery. The movement of supplies is coordinated according to the delivery location and vessel-side requirements.
Execute Transfer & Delivery
For anchorage operations, the prepared supplies are transferred using the appropriate delivery method. The final objective is straightforward: get the required supplies to the vessel safely and efficiently.
Project Outcome
The MT OM JAIPUR operation brought together multiple vessel-supply categories into a coordinated anchorage delivery. The supplies were transported to the anchorage and transferred by crane directly to the vessel, completing the vessel-side supply operation.
"For Solanki Ship Care, the focus remains the same across every vessel supply operation: Right Requirements. Right Coordination. Reliable Delivery."
